Ipod use in Classrooms

Ipods are a form of technology that have found a place for themselves in the classroom. Ipods can be used in many different ways. Teachers are integrating them into their teaching. Ipods can be docked and used to play music in the classroom or used as storage for videos that can be projected onto screens for the students to view. The Integration of such technology allows the students to take the knowledge they may already have of the Ipod and apply it to their educational experience.
On a higher level, college proffessors are recording their lectures and putting them on podcasts or MP3s to be downloaded and listened to later by students as a study tool. Students are also recording themselves speaking in foreign language classes as homework and loading it onto their ipods for teachers to download. With technology the sky is the limit. I love to see technology being worked into classroom settings. Children are familiar or becoming familiar with these technologies at home so they might as well be putting their knowledge to good use!
